About the Jasmine Nyree Campus

The Porter family moved to Pittsburgh from Bakersfield, California, as Founder Christy Porter’s husband Joey Porter began his football career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The family, motivated by their daughter Jasmine Nyree who was born with Autism, developed a strong empathy and passion to serve the special needs community. In December 2019, Christy and Joey Porter acquired the Holy Innocents’ Parish and renamed the 108,000 sqft property the Jasmine Nyree Campus. The campus is a multi-service community center designed to address various needs, including residential services, recreational activities, and educational programs.

The Jasmine Nyree Campus (JNC) is dedicated to providing the highest quality of comprehensive special education services to consumers and their families. Here’s a closer look at their mission and programs:

– Mission: To deliver top-notch special education services through collaboration with parents, agencies, and the community, ensuring each consumer’s unique needs are met.

– Consumer-Centered Approach: JNC works cooperatively with special needs individuals and their families, focusing on innovative social skills and life skills training to help each person reach their full potential.

K-12 Programs:

• Academic Enrichment: Using both traditional and interactive methods, the goal is to positively influence academic performance. The STEAM Lab offers hands-on learning opportunities, and the state-of-the-art computer lab focuses on coding and other applications.

• Life Skills: Training includes personal hygiene, cooking, managing a home, financial literacy, and budgeting. “The Hangout” lounge allows youth to practice social skills.
