A Look Back At 2022: Valiant 3 Communications

Posted on December 21, 2022

This year has come and gone faster than ever but we wanted to take a quick trip down memory lane with you all and look back at the incredible accomplishments, clients, and events that have made 2022 such a successful year for Valiant 3 Communications.

Let’s kickoff the timeline of events with March 15, 2022. We eased into the year with an appearance for Jerome Bettis in Miami, FL. Jerome has a great partnership with Delta Airlines and they were honored to have him speak at their Global Sales Team Meeting at Nobu Miami.

May 9, 2022: The 2nd Annual Jerome Bettis Blue and Gold Classic

We hosted the golf outing at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, GA to raise money for Jerome’s University of Notre Dame endowment and the Bus Stops Here Foundation programs. We had a wonderful turnout with sponsors, celebrities, and participants that raised over $150,000. It was a weekend for the books. We are so excited to announce that we will be returning to East Lake this year May 7-8, 2023 for the 3rd annual event.

July 22-23, 2022: Celebrity Care Fest and Unity Dinner

Back after a much anticipated return from COVID-19, the Celebrity Care Fest backyard concert in Gibsonia, PA returned bigger than ever. We helped the HM3 Independence Fund put on the incredible concert and unity dinner the night before.

As a part of the Celebrity Care Fest weekend, to champion unity and equality for all, HM3 sponsored a Unity Dinner to honor Emmy and Golden Globe award winning actress, Jane Seymour, as well as the renowned Xernona Clayton, international civil rights leader, for her dedication to the betterment of human relations.

The wonderful dinner was followed the next day by the backyard concert, Celebrity Care Fest. This year hosted national entertainment by The Jacksons, The Temptations, Lou Gramm from Foreigner, and Queen V.

They chose to highlight the theme of unity and equality. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Pittsburgh Pirates all came “together as ONE” to support the incredible beneficiaries!

September 12, 2022: 2nd Annual Tunnel2Towers Pittsburgh Golf Outing

This year, we had the honor of being asked to help put on the 2nd annual Tunnel2Towers Pittsburgh golf outing at the Club at Nevillewood sponsored and put on by USA Staffing Solutions. This outing benefited the Tunnel2Towers Foundation and the local Pittsburgh Canines for Courage Program. This event raised over $60,000 for these foundations. We hope to be a part of this event in the future!

September 15, 2022: WOW CyberBus Launch

The Bus Stops Here Foundation has been working together with the HACP and STEM Coding Lab for over a year to create the WOW CyberBus to help end the digital divide for the inner city youth and adults in the greater Pittsburgh area.

We were finally able to see this vision come to life as we launched the CyberBus to the city of Pittsburgh for its debut in Northview Heights. Jerome came together with the local community and got to show some of the kids the first look inside the bus.

The team envisions the WOW CyberBus becoming an educational community asset, to serve locals with crucial programming designed to activate the next generation of digitally literate professionals. In hosting classes for both adults and school age children, it will aid parents in their learning of computer skills, empowering them to be able to help their children become responsible, skilled digital citizens as well.

September 22, 2022: Teachers Summit

#PANeedsTeachers initiative was part of a new introduction the Valiant team made this year through some mutual friends. We were honored to step in and help plan their summit held in Harrisburg, PA sponsored by NCEE and Teach Plus+. The event was a huge success, bringing together policymakers, teachers, and those part of the initiative, to create an environment for important panel discussion, open dialogue, and hopefully future progress for the #PANeedsTeachers initiative in the months to come.

September 27, 2022: Chuck Noll Golf Outing

A very exciting event for us this year was running the inaugural Chuck Noll Foundation Golf Outing at the Club at Nevillewood. The Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research is dedicated to diminishing the impact of sports related head injuries and was started by none other than Chuck Noll with the assistance of Dr. Joseph Maroon, the Steelers’ neurosurgeon in 1990.

The outing was co-hosted by our good friends Merril Hoge and Jerome Bettis. We were able to raise just over $143,000 for the Chuck Noll Foundation. We were honored to be a part of the 1st event and are excited to make next year bigger and better than this.

September 30, 2022: Team Retreat

Although not an event, we had a wonderful weekend getaway to Las Vegas to do a little team building and put some very exciting plans into place for two new clients. Wealth Advisor Training and Equilibrium Wealth Advisors are new clients to Valiant 3 Communications this year. We are excited to bring our social media marketing experience to some friends in the finance space. This weekend was all about brainstorming, team building, and goal setting for some very big plans ahead.

Don’t worry, we got to have a little fun in Sin City too!

October 6, 2022: Steel City Jerome Bettis “Legends” Collection Launch

We love to partner with local organizations and this one was very fun to work with. The Steel City Brand collaborated with Jerome on his “Legends” collection in support of the Bus Stops Here Foundation. T-shirts, Sweatshirts, and Crewneck; so many fun pieces were created for this collection. And the best part…15% of ALL apparel bought will go directly to the foundation.

November 17, 2022: Jerome Bettis 15th Annual Caring For Kids Gala

After 2 years of postponing, we were finally able to bring back the 15th annual Caring for Kids Gala at Acrisure Stadium. This wonderful event sponsors the Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here foundation with sponsors, celebrities, and a night of fun in the PNC Champions Club.

This year we had two award recipients. First, the humanitarian award was given to Joey and Christy Porter for their incredible work with the Jasmine Nyree Campus. They opened the campus in June of 2021. The complex offers a day program for adults with special needs, but also provides employment placement, medical services, a food court, after school programs for area kids and a learning center, part of a partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools.

Second, the courage award, was presented to Najee Harris for the work with his foundation “Da’ Bigger Picture” and using the hurdles he has overcome off the field to make a difference. The Foundation’s hope is to provide tools and assistance to families facing challenging times. Some of the key areas of focus will be education, homelessness, addressing hunger and utilizing sports as a platform to develop life skills.

This beautiful evening allowed us to raise over $100,000 for the foundation. We thank everyone who came out and continues to donate to this incredible cause. We will continue to support the lives of inner-city youth in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Detroit with these contributions.

December 17, 2022: Jerome Bettis Toy Drive

‘Tis the season to give back! We were so happy to be able to continue the Jerome Bettis Toy Drive this holiday season to serve inner city children in Pittsburgh. We received over 200 toys from our Amazon wish list and were also able to give each child two books donated from “Our Kids Read Inc.” We filled up two school buses to meet the children and give out their gifts. The children at Twin Rivers and Jasmine Nyree are going to have a memorable holiday thanks to all of YOU! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

December 21, 2022: Holiday Soiree

To wrap up our year of events, we will be helping our good friends Nick Rivers and Jason Richards host their 10th annual Christmas Soiree. This event is very special in that it gives 100% of the proceeds to the Homewood Children’s Village. They raised over $16,000 last year and we hope that we passed this goal tonight. Let the celebration begin!

It’s been a wonderful year working with these passionate individuals and helping out so many organizations. We have a couple client highlights we couldn’t forget to mention before we close out 2022.

Client Spotlight:

Our awesome friend and client Merril Hoge is KILLING it with book sales for “Find A Way” and “Brainwashed” while also booking over 20 speaking engagements this year. He keeps finding a way doesn’t he?

We also are excited to be working with some new clients in 2022 heading into 2023…
